From the top now
Moving from Shanghai, China, to sunny Southern California fueled my passion for travel and cultural exploration. My journey in design began with a deep love for fashion as a powerful means of self-expression, which led me to earn a BFA in Fashion Design from the prestigious Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY which is ranked 6th in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024, There, I not only secured a merit-based scholarship but also achieved recognition on both the Dean’s and President's lists.
Following my graduation, I excelled as a Visual Merchandiser at Acne Studios, where I developed a keen understanding of consumer behavior and the crucial impact of retail design on sales. This role confirmed my belief in the power of design to engage and influence people, sparking my creativity further.
Eager to reconnect with my Asian American heritage, I returned to Shanghai to work in marketing and communication strategies. I explored the fashion supply chain, uncovering the complexities of design. This inspired me to pursue an MA in Design Management in London. Now, I aim to blend my expertise in fashion, product, and UX to create innovative solutions and practical insights.
